Dreams,
come in sleep,
troubling tired souls.
Aimlessly filling minds,
flashing scenes,
whizzing past,
at lightning speed.
A long endless movie,
set on superfastforward.
No sense at all,
yet somehow relates
to reality.
A hidden message,
somewhere,somehow.
You open your eyes,
the message lingers.
You reach out,
it drifts away.
Think harder.
It's gone,
with the wind.
Frustration,
Dreams.
Dreams plague many of us and some of us creative lot try so desperately hard to hold on to them, perhaps as tools for insights into the meaning of our lives. But it's ironic how dreams work because while they're happening every detail is so vivid. The second we wake up and try to grab hold, it slowly but surely retreats deeper and deeper into our subconscious.

I think maybe dreams are always with us. They influence the structure of our thoughts. I know I have memories I confuse with dreams all the time and vice versa. And, thinking of dreams as a way of organizing a cluttered subconscious, what you take in during the day feeds your subconcious and feeds dreams. An interesting topic. I always like to hear about other cultures, how they view dreams, symbolisms, stuff like that. :)
